We are located in a beautiful, child friendly and dedicated music studio in downtown Chanhassen. With 850 square feet of colorful space, families will feel comfortable to move and groove.
Kindermusik is a music and movement program for Newborns through Age Seven. Each class includes a variety of music, instrument play, movement and learning. While we’re having fun and enjoying ourselves, everything we do in class has been carefully researched and created to support and nourish your child’s learning and development in the best possible way. You'll witness your child's developmental evolution in language skills, literacy, listening, problem solving, social skills, self-esteem and musicality.
We know that each child and each adult learns and participates differently and we welcome and appreciate everybody’s unique contribution. From the child who participates with lots of movement and singing to the child who is quiet and observant, all learning styles are welcome.
Our hope is that Kindermusik class is a time for you and your child to just have fun together. Learning and emotions are closely tied together and a child who is with someone they love, relaxed and having fun is a child who is ready to learn.
You’ll receive simple, fun ideas for ways you can bring Kindermusik home with you each week. The home materials that are included with your tuition include class music on CDs or downloads, literature books and age-appropriate instruments. We also share ideas and resources to extend the activities we’ve done in class. Our goal is to make your already excellent parenting, easier.
Kindermusik class is also a wonderful place to meet and connect with other parents. Parents and caregivers have time before and after class to connect with one another, share notes and stories, and talk over ideas. We have known many parents who meet in a Village class with their babies and are there together at the last Young Child class celebrating graduation. No other single activity offers the one-of-a-kind musical experience that Kindermusik does. If you're looking for something truly memorable to share with your child, Kindermusik is the answer.

KIM SHIELY-Kindermusik Owner/Educator Kim considers music one of the greatest gifts a parent can give their child. Originally from Wisconsin, she has been studying and performing vocal, dance & instrumental music throughout her entire life. Since April 2011, Kim has been awarded Maestro Educator Status each year by Kindermusik International. The Maestro award recognizes that Kim has achieved excellence in ranking in the top 5% of Kindermusik programs worldwide. As a licensed Kindermusik educator, Kim has the training and expertise necessary to provide fun, high-quality musical experiences to young children in a way that will impact not only musical development but will enhance your child’s foundations of learning. TIRISHA DIRKS-Kindermusik Educator Tirisha joins Kindermusik With Kim from her own successful business as a family photographer at Content Photography. She has a K-12 Education background and has served and chaired the Early Childhood Advisory Council. She is an artist, a mother of three, an active school volunteer and has performed and been influenced by music her whole life. Tirisha discovered Kindermusik with her son, Myles. It was their fantastic experience in class that made her want to share this joy with others. As a licensed Kindermusik educator, Tirisha is engaging, full of enthusiasm and very knowledgeable in all things musical and fun! She finds great joy in being with children and their families and sharing music with them makes it all the sweeter. |
